Welcome to the Islamic Center of Sacramento (ICOSAC) website at www.icosac.com. These comprehensive Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access, use, donations, membership applications, event registrations, and all interactions with our 501(c)(3) nonprofit platform supporting Baitul Mukarram Masjid Phase 1 construction in Rancho Cordova, California.
By accessing our Site, making zakat payments, giving sadaqah, joining ICOSAC membership, or registering for Sacramento mosque events, you agree to these legally binding Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Donation Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. User Eligibility & Account Responsibilities
2.1 Age Requirements
You must be 18+ years to make financial contributions or legally binding commitments
Parents/guardians may register minors for educational programs and family events
2.2 Donor Dashboard Access
Email verification required for secure login via GiveWP/MemberPress
One donor profile per household recommended
Account termination for fraudulent activity, spam, or Shariah/IRS violations
3. Donations – Zakat, Sadaqah, and General Gifts
3.1 Irrevocable Nature of Contributions
All monetary gifts to ICOSAC Sacramento – including but not limited to:
Zakat al-fitr and zakat al-mal
Sadaqah jariyah for Phase 1 construction
Membership dues and general donations
are final, irrevocable, and non-refundable upon processing completion.
Limited Exceptions (14-day review period):
Payment processing errors (double charges, incorrect amounts)
Credit card chargebacks ($50 admin fee applies)
Donor incapacity or proven fraud discovery
3.2 Tax Deductibility & Receipts
Tax Benefits:
100% tax-deductible to IRS limits as 501(c)(3) contributions
Instant email receipts provided immediately
Annual tax summary available December 31 via Donor Dashboard
International Donors: US tax benefits may not apply; consult your local tax advisor.
3.3 Designated vs. Undesignated Gifts

3.4 Recurring Donations & Membership
Monthly/annual auto-renew until canceled via Donor Dashboard
3-day cancellation window for new recurring pledges
Membership benefits (voting rights, priority access) non-transferable
3.5 Payment Security & Processors
PCI-compliant processors: Stripe, PayPal, Suare GiveWP
Transaction fees: 2.9% + $0.30 (disclosed pre-checkout)
Currency: USD only
Failed payments: 3 retries, then 14-day account suspension4. Acceptable Use Policy
4.1 Permitted Activities
Donations (zakat, sadaqah, membership)
Event registration and program information
Volunteer coordination and community engagement
4.2 Prohibited Activities
❌ Commercial advertising or solicitation
❌ Harassment, hate speech, sectarian content
❌ Malware, phishing, hacking attempts
❌ Bulk email harvesting or spam
❌ Intellectual property infringement
5. User-Generated Content
Event RSVPs, testimonials, prayer requests, and comments grant ICOSAC:
Perpetual, royalty-free license for promotional use
Platforms: website, social media, printed materials
You retain ownership but waive privacy claims for public submissions

Each service governed by independent terms. ICOSAC not liable for third-party content.
8. Event Registration & Attendance
Registration Rules:
Space limited – first-come, first-served
Health protocols posted per event
Photography for personal use only
Children supervised – ICOSAC not liable
9. Membership Benefits & Responsibilities
9.1 ICOSAC Lifetime Membership Benefits
✓ Voting rights in Shura Council elections
✓ Priority Phase 1 opening seating
✓ Founders recognition plaque/prayer rug
✓ Exclusive quarterly dinners and updates
9.2 Membership Termination
Inactive 12+ months
Violation of bylaws or Terms
10. Limitation of Liability
ICOSAC Sacramento provides the Site “AS IS” without warranties.
We disclaim liability for:
Service interruptions or technical failures
Data loss or security breaches beyond reasonable control
Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Maximum liability = your donation amount from past 12 months.
11. Force Majeure
Phase 1 construction delays, natural disasters, regulatory changes, or unforeseen circumstances excuse performance delays.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ICOSAC, board members, volunteers, and agents from claims arising from:

Breach of these Terms
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
California law governs without regard to conflict principles.

14. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)
ICOSAC collects minimal personal data:
Name, email, donation amount
Solely for tax receipt and mission delivery

15. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
No knowing collection of data from children under 13.
Parents: Contact to review/delete child data from event registrations.
16. Amendments to Terms
ICOSAC reserves right to modify Terms with 30-day notice via:

17. Severability
If any provision held invalid, remainder remains enforceable.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute complete agreement between you and ICOSAC Sacramento, superseding prior understandings.
